Emotional Intelligence and Social Intelligence have always fascinated me ever since I started to work in different private companies.
In addition to the core competences needed to operate in his/her own specialized area of expertise, the ability to deal with different people of various personalities and backgrounds has become a ‘must-have’ skill nowadays to anyone with any position and responsibility. These human faculties of Self-Awareness and Self-Management, combined with Social Facilities has attracted many educators, including myself, to apply the skills in most aspects of personal, social and professional life.
Teaching Methodology and Curriculum Design, especially in improving BiNusian Students’ English competency and achieving the target score and skill, are some of my major concerns. This is reflected in the current projects, teaching practices and research that I have been working on this semester.
