June 25th, 2009 by edept Leave a reply »

Saturday, June 20 the Faculty of Language and Culture was proud to host talk from Mr. Andrew Budianto. Andrew is a sworn translator who has experience of translating for a number of major international organisations such as the United Nations. He is registered as a translator with the embassies of many countries.

Andrew shared many fascinating, and amusing examples of some of the difficulties that a translator encounters in his/ her career. He also gave the audience some tips on how to get started.

This seminar was well attended by students and lecturers alike. The session closed with an interesting question and answer session from an enthusiastic audience.

Now I’ll let the photos do the talking!

Seminarnya cukup menarik, praktis namun berbobot.
